I don't come from here or not nowhere near I wasn't raised in a place much like this.
Sort of reminds me of a somewhere I left behind a place I knew I’d never see again.
But when I drive round that bend seeing Washington from end-to-end
it feels like home, feels like home.
I can only maintain that this place somehow feels like home,
just like home again
When most big stores they failed this one’s been saved
folks finding just what they need.
The diner’s long been there Connie retired she’s no longer there.
Suzi’s smoke and Tex Mex hang in the air.
And when I drive round that bend seeing Washington from end-to-end
it feels like home feels like home.
I can only explain that this place somehow feels like home,
just like home again.
Raised a big city boy I been coast to coast
from the Greatest Lakes right down to the Gulf.
Seen the buildings so tall drove the roads a long haul.
Still this place feels just like home.
And when I drive round that bend seeing Washington from end-to-end
it feels like home, feels like home.
I can only explain that this place somehow feels like home just like home again.
And when I drive round that bend seeing Washington from end-to-end
feels like home, feels like home.
I can only maintain that this place somehow feels like home just like home again.
Feels like home just like home again. Feels like home just like home again.
